The Genelec DI8A Active Balancer converts eight unbalanced RCA phono signal sources to balanced signals via XLR output connectors. The result eliminates associated noise and susceptibility to electronic interference on long cable runs.
One of the channels is equipped with duplicated outputs for connecting twin subwoofers in large sound reinforcement arrays. A +6 dB gain switch is provided for each channel for increasing the signal level from sources with low output levels. Remote muting capability is available with the "12V trigger" and "contact closure" terminals. The Genelec DI18A Balancer is the ideal solution in large sound reinforcement, installation and recording applications.
