General

• Compact design for ultimate portability, ideal for traveling musicians

• Operates on 4 standard AA batteries, USB bus power, or the included AC adapter for excellent versatility

Recorder

• 8-track recorder with 2-track simultaneous recording and 8-track playback

• Records WAV files at sample rates of 44.1/48kHz and bit rates of 16/24-bit

• Files are captured to SD memory cards with capacities up to 32GB for making lengthy recordings of up to 100 track hours. Flash memory is lightweight and reliable, with no concern of hard drive failure

• Built-in stereo condenser mics are provided for making recordings without extra equipment

• XLR/TRS combo inputs let you connect external microphones and instruments. The R8 also has a stereo 1/4" output for connecting external speakers, plus a 1/4" headphone jack for private monitoring. A 1/4" control input supports wired remote control

• 48V phantom power is available on 2 tracks for supporting condenser mics

• You can choose from over 140 DSP effects to add to your recordings, including guitar amp models and mastering effects

Interface

• The R8's USB connector allows you to use it as a high-definition audio interface with your computer

• The USB connection supports rates up to 24-bit/96kHz and offers 2 x 2 simultaneous in/out. If you only work at a 44.1kHz sampling rate, you can also use the R8's internal DSP effects on your computer tracks

• A dedicated control lets you adjust the mix balanced between DAW playback sound and direct sound for monitoring

• Steinberg Cubase LE DAW software is included so you can record, mix, and edit on your computer right away

Controller

• The R8's controls provide full mixing and transport options for Cubase, Logic, Sonar, and other popular DAW software options

• The control surface uses Mackie Control emulation for wide compatibility

Sampler/Drum Machine

• The R8 has 8 built-in pads that can trigger 8 different voices. Samples can be assigned to each pad for creating loops

• There are 500 internal drum loops, as well as a 2GB SD card that's pre-loaded with 500 additional loops from Big Fish Audio is included so you can start creating your own unique drum creations immediately
